The dark hues of blue and black that scatter the canvas are characteristic of Wolfond’s Radiant Light Series. The building of colour is distinct from her other works as the accumulation of painted layers reveals a dark palette with a certain level of intensity. Wolfond has stated this series to be her “most challenging to maintain luminosity under dense colouration”.
